Set-up Cost

Figuring out the set-up cost for custom made spacers is the most difficult part.  If you can interpret these parameters to your spacer, then you can have a price in a few minutes without the need to call or submit for a quote.

• Your set-up cost is $75 if the Spacer you need:
  • Is 6061-T6 Aluminum and
    • has the same outer diameter and inner diameter as a standard spacer you found on the website,
      • but you need a different length of any of the following lengths... 1/8" (.125) 9/64" (.141) 5/32" (.156) 11/64" (.172) 3/16" (.1875) 13/64" (.203) 7/32"(.219) 15/64" (.234) 1/4" (.250) 9/32" (.281) 5/16" (.3215) 11/32" (.344) 3/8" (.375) 13/32" (.406) 7/16" (.4375) 15/32" (.469) 1/2" (.500) 17/32" (.531) 9/16" (.5625) 5/8" (.625) 11/16" (.6875) 3/4" (.750) 13/16" (.8125) 7/8" (.875) 15/16" (.9375) 1" (1.000)
• Your set-up cost is $150 if the Spacer you need:
  • Fits the description above
    • but you need a different length of any of the following 1-1/16" (1.0625) 1-1/8" (1.125) 1-3/16" (1.1875) 1-1/4" (1.250) 1-5/16" (1.3215) 1-3/8" (1.375) 1-7/16" (1.4375) 1-1/2" (1.500) ***Length cannot exceed 10 times the hole size.  Max length for #4 hole size is 1-1/16".  Max length for #6 hole size is 1-3/8".
    • Or you need a different length than what is offered in the dropdown boxes and the length is less than 1.000".
  • Or is 6061-T6 Aluminum and
    • Has an outer diameter of 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 or 3/4" and
    • Is between 1/8" and 1.000" Long and
    • Has a non-standard hole size where the wall thickness between the hole and outer diameter is between .050 and .190

• Add $50 to the set-up cost if the spacer you need:
  • Fits the description above
    • but you need a length between 1" and 1-1/2" that is not offered in the dropdown boxes.  ***Length cannot exceed 10 times the hole size.
    • or if the grade of aluminum is 2011-T3
• Add $200 to the set-up costs if any of the following apply
  • Your spacer is to be made of C12L14 Steel (additional charges apply if plating is required)

If your spacer does not fit these parameters, then you'll have to submit for a quote.

If this is not clear, then don't hesitate to submit the online request or call for a quick price.  We can often give you a price in a matter of a minute or two on custom aluminum spacers.  The best times to call for a quote are between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm Pacific Time.

Production Cost

Once you've figured out the cost of set-up, the rest is easier

• Now find the closest standard spacer offered on the website that is the same length or longer than the spacer you need

  • then find the price for the quantity you need.

• Add the set-up cost and the standard part cost you found

You now have your total for your custom aluminum spacer.

If you like the price and would like to place an order, then Call, Fax or Email to confirm the pricing and time to ship.  When you order:

• We like to know how you're going to pay.  If you provide a credit card, your card will not be charged until your order is ready to ship.

• Our time to ship usually ranges from 1 week to 3 weeks depending on our workload and the difficulty of your order.  We'll have to quote you a time to ship at the time you place your order.
